Answer: Because I got to solo backpack Portugal in 2019 for 10 days and I chose this topic in order to show my worried family some information on the country, and to have an online journal of my travels. In preparation for my travels, I did a lot of research, and I found Portugal to be rated by other backpackers as one of the safest places for solo female backpackers. Portugal is also relatively affordable compared to other European countries, with great history, wonderful creative spaces, an active nightlife, and plenty of sunshine. They sport a wide selection of wines, cultural events, delicious foods, and multiple forms of transportation.
I had saved up for 6 years doing various odd jobs, plasma donations, clinical studies, and selling items online. I had finally reached my goal and I couldn't wait to start jotting my adventures down in my adventure journal!
